Live Earth - The Concerts For A Climate In Crisis - CD and 2-DVD package
The Live Earth Concert CD and DVD package, release date December 4, includes Madonna’s “Hey You” on the first CD track, and her “La Isla Bonita” performance with Gogol Bordello, a gypsy punk band, on the DVD package. The best of the best performances and most popular artists are included on the Live Earth DVD and showcases six short films from the Live Earth Film Series and a documentary on the making of Live Earth.
It’s said that the purpose is to utilize the power of film to educate a global audience through entertainment. But, as Madonna said, “Not just about entertainment, but about starting a revolution, Amen”.
Of Special Note: Live Earth’s net proceeds from the sale of Live Earth - The Concerts For A Climate In Crisis will go to benefit the Alliance for Climate Protection. The mission is to persuade the public of the urgency of adopting and implementing effective and comprehensive solutions for our planet’s climate crisis. Former Vice President Al Gore and the Alliance for Climate Protection want to ensure that Live Earth inspires behavioral changes.
The event was staged in New York, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg and Hamburg, as well as Antarctica, Kyoto, and Washington, DC.
