Madonna is a nominee for induction into the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2008.  This is her first year of eligibility: releasing a single no later than 1982.  That was the year Madonna hit the scene with Everybody. Of the nine nominees, only five acts will make it into the Hall of Fame.  Who’s the Material Girls competition?
