RCA Records is getting rid of American Idol fifth-season runner-up (2006) Katherine McPhee.

This is part of a general “sweeping of the house” for RCA and some of their least successful American Idol artists.

McPhee is following in the footsteps of Season 2’s Ruben Studdard and Season 5’s Taylor Hicks in being let go from RCA.

I guess the Adult Contemporary genre hasn’t been the same after Michael Bolton and Kenny G died in the tragic Bland Wars of 1996.

What? They didn’t die in the Bland Wars of 1996? They’re still alive? And making records?
There was no such thing as the Bland Wars of 1996?
I’m gonna die a virgin?
My mommie still dresses me?
I’m 37 years old!
I’m still typing?
