Danny Glover has been convicted in Niagara Falls, Ontario, of trespassing in a hotel during a union rally he attended and spoke at in 2006.
Glover, who wasn’t in court Thursday (and probably will never be in Canada again), was convicted along with UNITE HERE union representative Alex Dagg and Ontario Federation of Labor President, Wayne Samuelson.
The three were convicted of trespassing at the Sheraton on the Falls during the protest with UNITE HERE that aims to increase salaries and improve working conditions for hotel workers in the U.S. and Canada.
Sounds reasonable, right?
So, basically the Canadian Niagara Hotels flexed their muscle, bought a judge or two, and took us back to the labor wars of the early 20th century.
It’s a wonder Glover didn’t go missing like Jimmy Hoffa.
But that’s probably because the hotel owners watched plenty of Lethal Weapon films and knew that Glover was a bad mutha…
(Shut your mouth!).
But I’m talking about Danny Glover!?
(and we’re tired of this reference!)
