Originally announced that it was due to poor turnout, the Spice Girls have restated that their recent cancellation of their world tour has been due to family and personal commitments.

They had concerts scheduled for Cape Town, South Africa; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Beijing, China; and Sydney, Australia later on in the month.

Posh Spice, a.k.a. Victoria Beckham has admitted fault on the
breakup of the band.
She told The News of the World, “The reason I decided to do the tour was to show my kids that mummy was a pop star once. I’m not in the music industry any more. I’m in the fashion industry.”

That’s showbiz talk for, “Screw this stupid girl band nonsense! Momma don’t need to work for her money no more! Daddy gets PAID!!!”

The group’s last ever show will be in Toronto on February 26th.

In a message to their fans, Scary, Baby, Sporty, Posh, Ginger and Scrappy Doo stated, “It’s been incredible being back together and seeing our fans again. Really sorry if we didn’t get to see you this time around. We have other commitments in our lives now. But who knows what will happen next?”

I bet it’s nothing.
