Originally up on charges for federal tax-fraud and conspiracy, Wesley Snipes, best known as Sidney Deane from White Men Can’t Jump, was found not guilty by a jury last week.

However, he was found guilty of failing to file his tax returns and could face up to 3 years in prison.

Mr. Snipes’ excuses for not properly filing or paying his taxes have been as follows,
He declared that he was a ‘non-resident alien’ in the US,
He was misled by dishonest advisors,
and the famous excuse,
“Me no speaky the engalish!”

According to his attorney, “Mr. Snipes has always been committed to doing the right thing, and after this trial is over he’ll make whatever amends are required. But this is a man of integrity.”
