26 years after the assassination attempt of President Ronald Reagan by Jodie Foster stalker, John Hinckley, it appears Foster has a new stalker wishing to perform a violent act to harass, or maybe to impress the actress.

Michael Smegal (seriously, that’s his name!), 42, of Massachusetts was charged on Tuesday with mailing a bomb threat to a Los Angeles airport.

Gollum Smegal mailed a letter which included the words “Jodie Foster S” and “going to be a gas bomb this building (sic),” to the Van Nuys Airport in December last year.

The psycho first started sending threatening letters to the one ring Foster in 2004. Since then he has mailed somewhere around 100 letters to her and other celebrities, businesses and airports.

If he ends up being convicted, Smegal faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

But wait, there’s more!
After John Hinckley, Foster’s first, and highest profile stalker, was arrested in 1982, there was another man set to finish his job and kill the president in order to make a lasting impression of his love for her. That man was whack-job, Edward Richardson.

He even went on the Yale campus where Foster was attending classes to shoot her.
However when he saw her, he decided that she was too pretty to die and left her alone.

So, seriously. What is it about Jodie Foster that draws the crazies?

She has played a woman who fights back against men in several of her films, so she comes across as a man-hater (can you blame her?)
She talks like she’s trying to grow a penis (can you blame her?).

Yeah, she’s pretty, so WHY WON’T SHE RESPOND TO MY CALLS?
